Hundreds of people nostalgic for Spain’s fascist past held a rally on Sunday to mark the 38th anniversary of dictator Francisco Franco’s death. The peaceful demonstration was held in Madrid’s central Plaza de Oriente square near the opera and Royal Palace in the city’s old quarter. On Saturday an anti-Franco protest was held northwest of Madrid at Franco’s mausoleum.
